NEWSPHONE Group of companies (NEWSPHONE S.A., CALL CENTER HELLAS S.A., AKEP S.A.), hereinafter called “NEWSPHONE”, attaches great importance to the lawful processing, security and protection of your personal data, in whatever capacity you communicate or cooperate with us, such as, indicatively, prospective or active customers, consumers, website visitors, employees, suppliers, traders, individuals, or third parties cooperating with any company of the group.

Please carefully read the terms of this NEWSPHONE Security and Privacy Policy. By using our websites and accepting the relevant declaration of consent, you unreservedly accept the practices described herein, the terms of which shall henceforth govern our contractual relationship and shall be incorporated into the terms of use of each of our services.

For example, we process and protect your personal data, in accordance with the law, when you call our short codes and ask for Greek telephone directory information (11880), value-added services to the end user (B2C), or services on behalf of third parties (B2B), or when you contact us to get other information regarding routes, results, time, or entertainment (horoscope, ring tones, full track downloads, java games, SMS/MMS applications, mobile WA portals), e-government information (e-kep, e-government), mobile marketing, as well as any other NEWSPHONE activity.

3. Data Processed with your Explicit Consent

NEWSPHONE will use your information for the following lawful processing purposes, provided you have given us your explicit and specific consent, per service, which you can freely withdraw at any time, namely:

• To manage and invoice your calls, search telephone directory information for public services, banks, individuals, organizations, traders, transport routes to complete your requests, purchases and orders.
• To respond to your requests and questions, such as, for example, information on searches, purchases, game results, and to inform and respond to your suggestions and comments on improving products and services.
• To notify you of the results of surveys, lottery and competition results in which you may have participated.
• To provide evidence of a commercial transaction, in which case telephone communication with our customers is usually recorded.
• To analyze website traffic and improve your experience and to provide you with information about products, services, special offers and promotions.
• For internal operations and analysis, such as internal management, fraud prevention, as well as for the use by management, invoicing, accounting, billing and control information systems.

In any case, you can withdraw your consent or change your preferences at any time by sending an e-mail to privacy@newsphone.gr stating the relevant service or by using the unsubscribe link at the end of every e-mail you receive from us.

4. Collection and Processing Principles

This Privacy Policy aims to inform you about the terms of collecting, processing and transmitting your personal data that we may collect as Controllers or Processors.

NEWSPHONE and its trained staff apply the ten Processing Principles of GDPR 2016/679 (lawfulness, objectivity, transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization, accuracy, storage time limitation, integrity, confidentiality and accountability).

NEWSPHONE protects and safeguards your eight Rights regarding the use of your Personal Data (information, access, correction, deletion, restricted processing, portability, objection and non-automated decision-making based on profiles, as specified by the Greek law). The above applies without any discrimination to all processing activities carried out and all the services provided by NEWSPHONE.

5. Methods of Collecting your Personal Data

NEWSPHONE collects your personal data with your consent and acceptance of the terms of use regarding each of our services, namely:

• when you call our numbers or short codes (e.g., 11880), when you send us an e-mail, or when you fill in an application form to be included in lists of professionals/traders (e.g., VRISKO) for caller verification and billing purposes.
• when you contact our offices or our customer service department or when you communicate with our call center, including your comments and preferences about purchases as well as your opinions or comments.
• when you send us the postal address for the issue or dispatch of an invoice or proof of service and the details of the delivery of your order.
• when you buy a product and/or a multimedia service.
• when you voluntarily subscribe to printed or electronic directories in order to receive printed or electronic newsletters or SMSs or other marketing material or to update your preferences or when you participate in competitions, questionnaires and surveys.
• when you visit our websites through which we collect via cookies information from your terminal device, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the operating system you use, the type and version of your browser, etc. in order to protect our databases or websites against the unlawful copying of data or directories.
• when we receive documents, requests, orders, legal documents, warrants, etc. from third parties, such as supervisory, prosecutorial, judicial, or tax authorities, for the purpose of investigating crimes and protecting you against fraud or combating any form of crime and infringement of lawful property.

6. Minimizing, Storing and Deleting your Data

NEWSPHONE will always ask you for the minimum legally required personal data to log in to our online platforms and services, to purchase products, to make an appointment with your GP, to search for telephone directory information, to communicate via websites with other users or to participate in competitions and promotions.

NEWSPHONE keeps your personal data only for as long as is required by the contractual terms of each service, in conjunction with the applicable telecommunications, transport, tax and other legislation, based on the purpose of each processing activity and then anonymizes or destroys it. You can ask us and find out what data we collect about you and correct or delete it, unless it is required by law that the data be retained for tax, evidentiary or judicial purposes and for the prosecution of illegal acts.

7. Cookies Policy

According to the European E-Privacy Directive 2009/136/EU (which is expected to be replaced by a relevant Regulation), our website accepts the use of cookies, which are online tools for collecting and analyzing information from social media platforms or third-party partner websites in order to measure traffic, improve the functionality, content and overall appearance of our website, and to adapt it to the needs of our customers.

As a general rule, NEWSPHONE does not transmit your personal data to third parties except when we act as an intermediary and to the extent that this is required to complete your order and fulfill requests regarding the services provided by us, whether they are our services or services provided by third parties, such as interconnected telecommunications companies, television stations, cloud providers, health establishments, professional associations, providers of audiovisual content, etc.

In exceptional circumstances, NEWSPHONE transfers your data when it receives an order or decision from a court or official state authority (investigation and prosecution authorities, cybercrime prosecution, the Hellenic Telecommunications & Post Commission, the Hellenic Authority for Communication Security and Privacy, supervisory authorities, etc.) that requires that NEWSPHONE comply with the law and prevent unlawful actions against us and our customers (e.g. telecommunications fraud, defamation, personal injury, etc.).

At NEWSPHONE we select trusted providers and try to put contractual restrictions on third parties who receive your personal data so as to ensure that they use it in accordance with this Policy and applicable European and international data protection laws. However, we cannot guarantee that they will not use or disclose this data without your permission. 12. Unsolicited Commercial Communication

NEWSPHONE does not permit the use of our website or services for the transmission of bulk or unsolicited commercial e-mail (spam). Also, we do not permit messages that use or contain invalid or forged headers, invalid or non-existent domain names, techniques concealing the origin of each message, false or misleading information, or violate the terms of use of websites to be sent to and from our customers.

We do not in any way permit the collection of email addresses or general information about our customers and subscribers through our website or services. We neither permit nor authorize any attempt to use our services in a way that could damage, disable, or overburden any part of our services, or interfere with anyone wishing to use our services.

If we believe that there is any unauthorized or inappropriate use of any of our services, we may, without notice, in our sole discretion, take appropriate measures to block messages from a particular domain, an email server, or an IP address.
